Chad Nelson

Chad Nelson has 30 years of experience in equity research and portfolio management. Prior to joining Kestrel in 2026, Chad served as the Managing Partner of Invenire Capital, LLC, a private investment management and financial advisory firm he founded in January 2017. Prior to launching Invenire, he held various positions with Thomson Horstmann & Bryant, Inc., a private boutique investment management firm specializing in US Micro and Small Cap strategies, from 1999 through 2016, including Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager, and Director of Research. Chad began his career in 1995 in the asset management division of Lazard Limited (NYSE:LAZ), both London and New York offices, a leading financial advisory and asset management firm that advises on mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, capital structure and strategy. Chad has been a CFA® charterholder since 1999 and is a member of the CFA Society New York. He earned his MBA, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1994, his B.S. in Finance, summa cum laude, from Northwest Missouri State University in 1993 and currently lives in Ridgefield, CT with his wife and three children.
